Also I have heard “the” drink in Thailand is just called Bucket and it’s a giant cup filled with alcohol and amphetamine. Any truth to that?

I’ll say true. In touristic areas you order a bucket full of either whiskey or rum and coke and they pour “Red Bull” in it. However Red Bull there is not exactly like Red Bull here. It’s in a little medicine vial and it’s pretty potent. I wouldn’t say it’s like meth or anything (I’ve never done illegal uppers, but it wasn’t very severe), however it’s like a mild ephedrine buzz maybe. So, yeah, that’s true.

The bucket, usually with 2 bottles of red bull and a bottle of coke, as well as a small bottle of sangsom rum then topped up with ice and a few straws. enough for a few people to share or for one person to keep a drink in their hand for a while.
It isnt speed, but being drunk on sangsom definately has a bouncy “up” feel and the red bull and coke would only add to it. Also the red bull sold in Thailand is stronger and more syrupy in consistency.
