Things could go wrong and you need cash. Although i must say after travelling around south east asia, its best to bring half cash, and just leave it to the atm cards the rest. i haven't used traveller's cheques but just be on the look out with your money. so far so good, didn't lose any money, nor did my money got stolen. dollars are well accepted in cambodia if that's where you're going. bring smaller bills instead and always, i mean always check out the exchange rates, believe it or not the people you see outside your hotel will exchange your money way higher than in banks. but just be careful whenever you're changing your money. i once brought with me $1000 on my trip to singapore, malaysia, thailand.
