In Cambodia we went to a children’s orphanage and took them big sacks of rice, as well as buckets of biscuits and played with the kids for a few hours that was kind of cool to see how happy they are when westerners come and visit. Other people took crayons and books and stuff.

Yes you can. There are several orphanages run by a nonprofit group called Asia’s Hope that helps orphans get off of the streets and out of compromising situations and into a good healthy environment where they have a chance at education and, eventually, work that won’t involve human trafficking. The orphanages are right now located in Chaingmai, Battambang, and there is another outside of Phnom Penh. Sorry about the spelling! Go to asiashope.org to find out more.
